Creating Your Own Hustle

"There is no passion to be found playing small-in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." - Nelson Mandela

YOUR Hustle

Much of our generation is focused on what the next person has. How the next person's life is unfolding. Some people take that idea one step further and decide to try to shape their life the way they see other people's lives so that they can live the same. Some people take that opportunity to create something of their own to reach that desired success for themselves. I'm not in any way saying not to choose to follow a hustle that other people have had success in, just don't follow that way if you know it's not making you happy. Choosing to do something for the love and desire of the money won't yield the most possible success for you because your heart won't be in it. Take the opportunity to look into what you like, what you're passionate about and see what you could do with it. When I suggest looking into your passion, I'm not saying that it will be an instant success, but when you love something the growth speed won't be that huge of a factor. Once the growth begins, your love for what you're doing will continue to propel you forward.

Self-Discovery

Now that you're in the stage of putting together your own, unique hustle, you'll begin to have the opportunity to discover things about yourself you didn't know before. You'll discover how hard you can truly push yourself, what you actually like doing, and characteristics about yourself that can boost your self-esteem and self-value. Teaching yourself to branch out and try new things gives you an outlook on what's possible and can ultimately create networks for yourself that you didn't have before. Everyone knows that networking is very important in moving you forward through life, providing you with knowledge that you may not have had the chance to gain yourself. Networking may also involve supporting someone else's hustle.

Supporting One Another

Don't feel as though if you support someone else, then that will take away from your success because it won't. The Lord has blessings and a plan for each specific person and no one can stop or even take away from that plan/blessing. Whatever is intended for you will be for you, no matter how long it may seem to take to get to you, what capacity it reaches, or what speed it seems to grow at. Specifically during this time in our lives, supporting one another is what we need the most, because we're at war with so many other factors within this world already. Since we're fighting for each other, we also need to support one another. Giving back to one another will also provide a situation of giving back to oneself. As you give out blessings and love, blessings and love shall be returned back to you.

Social Media as a Platform, Not a Comparison

Let's begin to change the narrative of what social media should be used for. Social Media in a sense has begun to be a contest where some feel they don't even have the chance to compete. We should bring social media back to the form of expression it was previously used for. We can use social media to celebrate each other for their accomplishments and discoveries as opposed to just a place people come and feel as though there's only one avenue to success. There's a reason that no two people's lives are the same, everyone has their own success that they'll reach. So remember to keep the next person's journey in your thoughts and choose to encourage how they choose to grow themselves, whether it agrees with your idea or not.

Encouragement

Some may disagree with what I've said, but now, more than ever, is the time we need to come together and encourage one another to share their voices. Those who hate us have found their voice in trying to silence us, so we have to be twice as loud and be the comfort and courage we need for each other. Sometimes it only takes a few seconds to share someone's message or supporting their small business by buying a product, whatever you decide to do, do it with a heart that has the desire to help and want better for that person. "When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed." - Maya Angelou.
