Asking God to make you Uncomfortable

"If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness."- Les Brown
Growth is a process that takes patience. It's also a request that we can bring forth to God. I've found that I've experienced the most growth within my life when I made it a purposeful thing I asked when I spoke to God. Letting him know that you need help in the area of growth, he will honor that and begin the process of change according to his will for your life.
"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ--to the glory and praise of God." - Philippians 1:9-11.
When we request knowledge, the Lord will bless us with such. With this knowledge we will be able to have a deeper understanding of who God is and who he calls us to be.
How to Make a Request
Similar to how we talk to family or friends and ask them for different things, we can talk to God the same way. Now when I say that, I don't mean that we can just disrespect him when things don't happen in our timing, but rather a personal relationship is very much possible with God. He wants us to feel comfortable talking to him and have full knowledge that we can trust him to come through with his promises. So when you feel ready to approach him, just think of it as how you would talk to your bestest friend or even your mom or dad, cause he is in fact our heavenly father lol.
With requests comes patience and with patience comes discernment, so allow God in this time to grow you!
"Hot tempers cause arguments, but patience brings peace." - Proverbs 15:18
